Santa Biblia Reina Valera 1909 has no accounts, no advertising, no tracking, and nothing to sell. The app collects a small amount of anonymous usage statistics — which features get used and which chapters are read or listened to — so we can make it better. None of it is linked to who you are.
The app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog, an analytics service whose servers are located in the United States. These events include: when the app is opened, which book and chapter is read or played aloud, when a highlight is created (its color and verse count — never the text itself), when a verse is shared, how long a session lasts, plus basic device information (device model, iOS version, app version, language) and an approximate region derived from your IP address.
Events carry a randomly generated identifier so we can count how many people use the app. That identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any account (the app has none), and it is never used to track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell or share this data for advertising.
Your highlighted verses, your reading position, and your settings are stored only on your device. The text of what you highlight is never sent anywhere. If you delete the app, they are deleted with it.
The audio Bible streams directly from the Internet Archive (archive.org), a non-profit digital library, where the recording is hosted in the public domain. When you play a chapter, your device connects directly to archive.org, just as a web browser would; that connection is subject to the Internet Archive's terms and privacy policy. We do not operate, observe, or receive any information about those connections.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking across apps or websites.
The app is suitable for all ages. It has no accounts and collects no identifying personal information from anyone, including children; the usage statistics described above are anonymous for everyone.
If a future version of the app ever changes any of the above — for example, by adding optional anonymous usage statistics — we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version ships.
